Service Engine - Area 04

The right technician, on the right route, first time.

Dispatch matches every confirmed visit to a technician who is already close, already skilled for the model, and already on a route that can absorb the stop - and then keeps that assignment honest to close-out.

What this area does

Three things it gets right.

01

Skill-matched assignment

Assignments respect the model, the brand, and the specific work the visit needs - not just the nearest available headcount.

02

Route-load balancing

The stop is scored against every technician's current route load. A route that is already tight will not have another visit forced onto it.

03

Live tracking to close-out

The pulse follows the technician through the day. Stop position, ETA drift, and visit outcome all land back on the unit.

Worked example

One confirmed visit, from queue to close-out.

Step 101/04

Visit received

Thu 14:00 - 16:00

Skill tags: X200, refrigeration. Location: Sector 12.

Step 202/04

Technician matched

Suresh K.

Skill match 0.94, distance 3.1 km, route load 62%.

Step 303/04

Stop inserted

stop 4 of 6

Route 7 rebalanced. Preceding stops re-timed by 4 min each.

Step 404/04

Close-out written

15:42 - Serviced

Parts used and follow-up flags land on the unit history.

A note on honesty. Routing depends on live technician location where the tech app is granted background location, and falls back to last-known plus scheduled route otherwise. Assignments are always overridable by a human dispatcher.
